Banish Starter Kit + The Starter Cleanser

Having lived with acne since teen, I've always been in constant look out for the right product for my skin. Back then, I regularly had breakouts and it really effected my confidence growing up. At that time, I was clueless about the types of skincare products available and the steps or routine to maintain a clear skin.  I was too embarrassed to ask for help and resolved in trial and error on different kinds of products in the supermarket but I ended up with even more breakouts. Now, I still have adult acnes/scars and I really rely on high coverage foundation to cover my blemishes. I was delighted when I was approached by Daisy, founder of Banish, to try out a few of Banish Products. I've heard so much of Banish in social media and I've decided to get the Banish Starter Kit + The Starter Cleanser.

Real Techniques Brush Cleansing Palette

Cleaning those overused makeup brushes is way more fun with Real Techniques Brush Cleansing Palette. Trust me, it is rather satisfying as the cleansing gel lathers off the excess gunky makeup off the bristles. It's crucial to sanitise make up tools especially for acne prone skin like myself. Watch the lathering fun here!

Located in Fitzroy, Saba's Ethiopian Restaurant made its name by humbly serving only traditional Ethiopian dishes. It was the first time TwoPaperPen tasted traditional Ethiopian food and we gladly opened our taste palette to a new cuisine. The dining area is decorated with woven basket and painted lanterns to set a traditional vibe. As we entered the restaurant and set to dine, we had a little introduction to Ethiopian cuisine. We had their Vegetarian Combination and Dorho Sebhi.

The gelato sits pretty on the 'cloud' and TwoPaperPen just couldn't resist! The velvety smooth vanilla bean gelato sits on top of the moist and crusty brownies, made in-house of course. Not only that, the brownies are surrounded by a ring of fluffy fairy floss and drizzled with small batch salted caramel sauce.

Indonesian Face Masks

During my visit to Indonesia, I made it my mission to get a handful of facial masks from the local supermarket. I have been using different kinds of masks (mostly korean) and I thought that I should give the local brands some love. I was quite surprised that they actually stock different types of masks like the powder, cream and sheet masks. Beauty is taking the world by storm and Indonesian beauty company acknowledge it. There are more and more skincare products available now than ever before.
